There is no heaven, so it cannot be plural! Or singular, come to that.

Some versions use “heavens” to explain the “heaven” that is where God resides and the “heavens” that are the sky, universe, etc. Others simply use “heaven” as in all that is outside of our earth. Both mean basically the same thing…just said different ways.

I know that the NKJV has it as “heavens.” Either way, He created all things that are in heaven and on earth.

Bereshith (In the Beginning) Well, the meaning of Bereshith is “with Wisdom”, the Wisdom on which the world is based, and through this it introduces us to a deep meaning. The Ancient of days words are spoken wisdom, the worlds are created out of His sublime wisdom. Every thing emerges through that new dicovery in the Words spoken in wisdom. Isaiah 66:22 For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before Me, said the lORD, so shall you seed and you name remain.
Is it not written ” I have made”, but Here G-D is ” I am making”, signigying continual creation out of the new ideas of Wisdom, the Bereshith ( in the Beginning) does it not?
Further, it is written Isaiah 51:16 ” And I have placed My words in thy mouth, and with the shadow of My hand have I covered thee, to plant a heaven and to lay the foundations of an earth”
It does not say “the heaven”. but “a” “heaven” A Heaven,. What signifies with the shadow of My hand have I covered thee” G-D is giving you the heaven as a raiment, just like he gave Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, a raiment . Gen. 27:27 raiment, was covering so G-D could come near, Jacob had asked for blessings needed and the raiment was one Gen. 28:20-21 Abraham, was given the raimemt the coverant.
Moses there appeared myriads fo heavenly angels ready to consume him with their fiery breath, but G-D sheltered him.
G-D covers and protects that world, and also shelters the author of that word so that the angels should not become aware of Him and so be filled with jealousy, until that word is transformed into a new heaven and a new earth. This is the meaning behind of the passage ” and with the shadow of My Hand have I COVERED thee, to plant a heaven and to lay The Foundations of an earth: Form this we can see that each word of which the purpose is obvious contains some lesson.
Hidden form our view. To Plant. read: Psalm 18:15 and see the Foundations. the Bereshith (new beginnings) Psalm 18:15 Then the channels of waters were seen, and the Foundation of The World were discovered at Thy rebuke, O LORD, at the Blast of The Breath of Thy Nostrils. read down to verse 20 new beginnings Bereshith, new heavens
