In 1604, King James commissioned a team of more than 50 men to translate the Bible to English. The project was completed in 1611, with the authorized version updated several times in the next 30+ years.

The people where fighting the Catholic Church didn’t want it translated into english. They wanted to keep it in Latin. Bloody wars insued and he saw no end in sight.
So got these people to translate the bible. He wasn’t even a christian. He just wanted the wars to stop.
And it worked. It is in the encyclopedia. Anyway, some people believe it is holy. Actually the newer versions are much more accurate. The Catholic Church killed by torture people who tried to translate the bible, in all the countries. King James was a very brave man to go against the church at that time in history.
