What did King James have to do with the bible?

Moglai asked:

Why do some of you even bother to answer a question if all you have to offer is sarcasm. Do you think it makes you look smart? If you have some knowledge why not volunteer it like some others have done, e.g. JTUCKERNDFW and SHELL.

He had it revised and re-edited it to better fit his needs. It’s still used today and is one of the more popular versions (no one liked the New Mexican Edition)

He was the king at the time when they translated the Bible into English at his request. Before that it was written in Hebrew (OT) and Greek (NT). He wanted to be able to read it. It is a very weird language to use because that is how they spoke at the time.

He authorized the making of a translation and called it after himself.
Many Protestants liked it and it became quite popular.
Since it was done about 400 to 500 years ago (and language changes) it should now be considered as among the lesser effective translations.

Not only did hae have it translated, he also changed the order of some of the books of thei bible, and omitted certain books in order to more closely match the teachings he was interested in his people reading. The omitted books are still included in a Catholic bible.

    King James Bible

He “commissioned” a new version to be translated from the original languages during his reign. Did you know that King James I of England (of whom you speak) is the same person as King James VI of Scotland? The number simply refers to how many kings of that same name there had been up until that time! William Shakespeare wrote several plays for King James and more for Queen Elizabeth after him.

King James was born a Catholic to Mary, Queen of Scots, who was beheaded for treason. Upon ascending to the throne of England, he was a political failure and to divert attention from his Catholic birth and his political failings, he invented a brand new bible to support the Church of England, and some sects of Protestantism.

His brand new bible was adopted by the vast majority of protestant cults, even those who disagreed with him.

The bible he invented was the same as the one Emperor Constantine invented, minus a few pages, and he invented it for the same reason: Politics.

The people where fighting the Catholic Church didn’t want it translated into english. They wanted to keep it in Latin. Bloody wars insued and he saw no end in sight.
So got these people to translate the bible. He wasn’t even a christian. He just wanted the wars to stop.
And it worked. It is in the encyclopedia. Anyway, some people believe it is holy. Actually the newer versions are much more accurate. The Catholic Church killed by torture people who tried to translate the bible, in all the countries. King James was a very brave man to go against the church at that time in history.
