Here’s the NIV: “And if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to be thrown into the sea with a large millstone tied around his neck.”

What Jesus is warning against is those who corrupt Christian children by causing them to sin. For example, someone who introduces a child to sexual immorality, thus bending their sexuality away from chastity, normal sexual interests, and capability for marriage, and toward a destructive sexual practice would cause that child to sin. That crime is so heinous as to emotionally cripple that child for life, and possibly to physically cause disease, injury, or death.

I doubt if proselytizing the religion of atheism meets the criterion of causing one of these little ones who believe in Jesus to sin. Nevertheless, atheists should be cautious about moving from their false but modest claim of “no evidence for God” toward attempting to dissuade young believers who are forming their consciences in Christ from Christianity to the religion of atheism.

Perhaps if Christians stopped being the only religion opposing human rights and persecuting gays, pro choice and so much more things might change!!

Perhaps if Christians stopped demanding freedom of religion whilst they deny it to all non Christians and persecute them things might change!! !!!

If Christians rediscovered the god of love and forgiveness and put aside all those terrible human emotions things would definitely change!!!!

Why are Christians so afraid of people who simply do not believe in any god?!!!! Surely it can only be because they are so afraid that atheist are right and they are wrong or it would not bother them!!!!!!

As soon as Christians rediscover the loving god and start acting like it the problem will cease!!!!

Why are you offended by atheists? Someone that offends you should be someone that runs into your church screaming obscenities at your religion.

The meaning is clear: Drown anyone who offends christian children.
