Stick with the King James Version. It flows wonderfully. Just be sure to repent first and obey the words you find written. If you apply your heart, you will gain understanding. It is such a Majestic translation and not to be replaced by an inferior book. Be good to your soul!

I’ve heard some really silly arguments that don’t hold up to the light of day, let alone the history of our Bible. But my biggest concern is the vitriol these folks spew on other Christians. It’s a needless division, where we should be united for the cause of Christ. None of the newer versions question the gospel message.

It’s been a blessing having a chat with you.

Kloudes, The purpose of the newer translations has never been about the accuracy, but the readability. Though all Bibles have some issues, they are minor. I’ve studied textual criticism for a very long time.

However, if you use the KJV because you prefer it, I have no issue with that. It’s a wonderful version. I was raised on it in a foster home. I don’t criticize it, but I will point out problems with it when the usual KJV crowd starts beating up other versions.

Oh, yeah, well I am trying to learn to be civil. I started going to a new church and so I am getting better with human relations, lol. :)
You are more open than others, too, so that’s always good. You don’t have to agree, but atleast you will listen. ^__^

Well, the problem is that the other Bibles are not using the same manuscripts. I suppose you COULD make another Bible using the same manuscripts, but it would probably be so similar, that there wouldn’t really be a point. I personally am King James Only, but I am not one of those people that say you can’t be saved and read a modern Bible. That’s is foolishness. I choose not to read them, because of the manuscript thing and also they disagree and that means eventually you have to make a choice.

So by that reasoning, God lost his power to protect his word after the KJV was published?

I do appreciate your civil tone. It’s a real change from most conversations I’ve had with KJV only crowd. Thanks for that.

That’s how we have the King James, but some of them were taken. Copies. YOu know they copied them, right? The originals weren’t going to last forever…

    Dividing Word….

My KJV was published in 1967. In the margins of Judges 19:2 there are some supposed ‘explanations’ of the four month period spoken of. Were the translators not inspired enough to know when they had interpreted something correctly?

The original 1611 manuscript shows a margin note that refers to Maccabees, oneof the apocryphal books. What’s up with that?

The reason the others cannot be the Word of God is simply because some of those manuscripts that were being passed down were taken and changed. These ********* manuscripts are known as the Alexandrian manuscripts. These have eben tampered with and therefore any Bible coming from these cannot be the Word of God truly. The reason that the King James and the other Bibles can’t all be perfect is because the disagree. That means that something is wrong, but what is it?

Well, you know that the manuscripts were passed down through history, and that these manuscripts were used to publish a few English Bibles including the Tyndale and Geneva Bibles. They were good, but were not perfect. The King James is the result of purification. It went through a series of editions so that it could be as it is today. They have changed typos, spelling errors, and taken out the Apocrypha which is not scripture, and the publishers knew it. They put it between the testaments.

And…. do you worship the God who is also omniscient? All knowing? I do, so it’s common sense that when He said He would protect his word, that he knew other Bible version would come along. Are you seriously saying that God only protected the KJV? Do you have evidence that, that is true?

Please don’t use the KJV to prove the KJV. That’s the same as a Mormon using the Book Of Mormon to prove their cult.

Tell me in your own words why you think God couldn’t protect other versions.

The translators of the KJV didn’t say say it was perfect. It has many errors. And despite the fervor, and statements to the contrary, it does have footnotes and explanations in the margins. If the translators were truly inspired, then they wouldn’t need those ‘explanatory notes’, they’d be sure that they had it right.

How sad that you woship the translators and not God.

Just as soon as one the KJV onlyist crowd can tell me where the apocrypha went from the KJV, I’ll consider their argument. But the truth is, they don’t know and have no answer. The apocrypha was there to begin with. Who decided they could remove it. I thought that was the worst sin possible.

    Five stars !

God doesn’t need help with His Word. It’s perfect, infallible, inerrant and it has the very Spirit of God in it.

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. John 6:63

The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Psalm 12:6

Heaven is full of precious saints who believed that the Received Text translation was the infallible word of God until punks like Westcott, Hort and mindless followers like you decided to JUNK God’s word in the last century.

Nobody used your Satanic bible until the time of apostasy. They go hand in hand. Your apostate bible produces apostasy and no Bible believing Christian used until the deception began in 1881.

All documented. Watch my videos for an education.

You only say we’re “vile… blah, blah, blah” because you’ve posted your ignorance for all to see and since you don’t have a leg to stand on, you resort to “any old port in a storm”.

Go read your Pope Bible with all it’s Satanic corruption. It’s a free country. Just don’t run off thinking that you’ve done anything but proven how mentally and spiritually bankrupt you are.

It’s such a blessing to see more churches and more schools awaken to the true Bible, AV 1611,

Meanwhile, the NIV churches continue to embrace Sodomites and fall into apostasy.

The only reason you accuse Bible Believers of worshipping a version is because you know you have nothing of substance against us so you create nonsense that makes sense in your carnal little mind.

Your ***** NIV bible will certainly continue to outsell the KJV as you walk in preparation for destruction when you follow your false messiah and his false church using your false bibles.

You **** what God calls good.

The 400th anniversary of our AV 1611 is approaching. No other Bible like it.

You’re god is a psycho-path full of contradictions. And your disgusting translations that delete 1 John 5:7, remove the last half of Romans 8:1, bracket or delete the last 12 verses of Mark, delete the Deity of Christ in 1 Timothy 3:16, turn Jesus into a “begotten God” in John 1:18, delete the blood from Colossians 1:14 (and the list could go on…) are truly GODLESS.

And you are going to Hell according to Revelation 22:18-19 for working for Satan and his false bible.

    You’re a sad punk.

And you sir are seriously deluded!.. You choose to WORSHIP a translation, vilifing all other’s as Godless. Do you ignore the fact that God hasn’t placed His final authority on ANY ONE VERSION of the English bible. Biblical history has shown He has allowed it to evolve without question from Tyndale to the modern. You are fighting a losing battle of ignorance. The KJV will pass the way of the Geneva and THE MANY OTHER ENGLISH bibles that preceeded it; The NIV far outsells it, get over it already!
