1611 King James Bible Illustrations (1st edition)

This is a Biblical art slide-show (1st edition…see also 2nd edition here in Channel Rousel12!) including various scans of images/icons from a copy of a 1611 King James version of the Bible I have. I know not who the artist or artists were who drew everything up, but I have little doubt that they were probably churchmen who were highly skilled at illustration, obviously.

i would like to know if you know where the KJV came from where did they get it from. have you looked up the info. have you read the preface in the front of the book?

One image you left out is one at the bottom of that opening print, which looks like a swan or goose with a bunch of baby birds. It is supposed to be a hen, and it symbolizes Christ. See 2 Esdras (AKA 4 Ezra) 1:28-30, which states that the Almighty Lord gathers Israel like a hen gathers her chicks, and then compare it to Matthew 23:37, which says Christ gathers Israel like a hen gather her ******. The image of the bird symbolizes Christ being the Almighty Lord.
