If you be my brother in Christ, I am happy that I can speak with you, even though we have never physically met. I use to be a KJV onlyist, but I can’t put it in any way other than it isn’t the truth… I know I may hurt your feelings, but that’s expected…. I hope and pray that we continue to persevere in the faith in fear and trembling as it is ordained by God.

Also, I believe that God has preserved the Bible in the entirity of the manuscript tradition, not just one manuscript. This is called the ‘tenacity” of the text of the New Testament, that once a variant reading enters the tradition, it isn’t lost, and thus the originals aren’t lost either. That is why new translations are being made. None of the major doctrines of the faith are impacted by textual variation or differences of readings at all. Now that speaks volume to preservation:)

well Gods word will not return void.they have moses and the prophets…as a witness…the least in Gods kingdom is greater than John the baptist…that is we have a better message…not just Jesus has come into the world, but died,rose again, will return soon…etcso we have enough scripture to show the way of salvation

however the truth of Gods word in its completeness is required as we see with the kjv.for instance matt.ch23.v14 …they eat up widows houses etc missing in niv, etc we need that verse or the beatitudes condemn us…unless your righteousness is better than scribes etc you cannot enter heaven..if you love me keep my commandments…any who dont are condemned at maranatha anathema

Matt 23:14 is missing because it is agreed upon by scholars to be an addition added from a scribe to harmonize Matt 23:14 with Luke 20:47. Scribes tended to ‘harmonize’ passages, and earliest manuscripts do not contain those parts. But you must understand that those passages are found in other gospels which do originally contain them.

The texts of the NT are important to study, that is why I recommend that book so that you may understand that the Bible ISN’T ‘corrupted’ by textual variation.

I pray that this doens’t be a stumbling block to your faith, because textual variation infact strenghtens faith in the Bible, not the opposite way around. also acts ch8.v37 is original, and i like the way it promotes confession at baptism,which infants cannot do.catholics who baptise thier ***** in case of thier damnation did not like this text, and made sure it was`nt ther, also peters wifes mother lay sick of the fever.peter they say was thier 1st pope..so they changed it to peters mother in law, not wife. and took it out of 3 gospels.also i have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance, is changed to blank in niv,but

by the way, scholars are not much better educated than we.we have learned greek/hebrew/latin etc and compared the originals as well.the anointing we have from the Spirit teaches us,we need not any man teach us…
